This policy explains what data Parent Track collects, how it is used, and your choices. Because the Service monitors devices, it handles sensitive data; we design for the strictest applicable standard.
To provide location tracking, device pairing, and (if enabled) camera/audio; to authenticate you and secure the Service; to enforce our Terms and prevent unlawful use. We do not sell your personal data.
Recording requires consent from the monitored person (or guardian for a minor). A visible monitoring indicator is shown on the monitored device while active. You, as the account holder, are the controller of data about monitored persons and are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect it.
Location and recording history are retained for the period you select in Settings (default 30 days), then deleted. You may delete data or your account at any time.
Passwords are hashed (bcrypt). Authentication uses signed tokens (JWT). We intend to encrypt camera/audio streams (AES-256) and use TLS in production. No system is perfectly secure.
Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g. CCPA/CPRA, GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to withdraw consent. Contact us to exercise these rights.
The Service is for adults to use. Where a parent monitors a minor child, the parent is responsible for that child's data. We do not knowingly let minors create accounts.
We use infrastructure providers (hosting, mapping tiles via OpenStreetMap) to operate the Service. They process data only as needed.
We may update this policy; we will post the new date above.
